Garden Center Cashier (Seasonal)

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate cash register 

• Perform daily opening and closing tasks

• Greet customers in a courteous, friendly manner (in person and on the phone)

• Answer and properly route telephone calls

• Inform customers of weekly specials and sales

• Price and display merchandise 

• Selling and helping customers on premise with products

• Other duties requested by manager

 

Requirements:

• Friendly and service-oriented personality (in person and on the phone).

• Initiative! – if you see something that needs to be done,  or an area where you can lend a hand, rise to the challenge and make it happen!

• Ability to work quickly and accurately, even under pressure.

• Highly detail oriented.

• Effective multi-tasking and basic math skills.

• Ability to bend, lift items up to 25 pounds or more, and stand on feet for long periods of time

• Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather and temperatures.

• Willing and available to work retail hours. (Including weekends)

• Reliability and Highly Self-Motivated

• Coachable – learn quickly and put new knowledge into action.

• Enthusiastic, team-player.
